Breakthrough treatment could give hope to patients stuck on dialysis

NCT ID NCT05145296

Summary

This study tested whether two existing drugs could help patients who have developed high levels of antibodies that make it nearly impossible to find a compatible kidney donor. The goal was to temporarily reduce these antibodies so patients could receive transplants they desperately need. The trial involved a small group of adults on dialysis who had been waiting over three years for a match.
