New kidney treatment aims to stop hidden virus from infecting transplant patients

Summary
This early safety trial tests a treatment called SYN002 on donor kidneys before transplant. The goal is to lower the risk of passing the common CMV virus from the donor organ to the recipient. About 12 adults waiting for a kidney transplant will take part. The main focus is whether the treated kidney works well after transplant.
