Could a simple blood test save more kidney transplants?

NCT ID NCT04414111

Summary

This study aims to find a biological marker that can predict which kidney transplant patients are at high risk for their new organ to work slowly or fail after surgery. Researchers will measure a specific type of protective immune cell in 180 adult patients just before their transplant. The goal is to use this information to better match donor kidneys with recipients and develop future treatments to protect transplanted organs.
