Kidney stone showdown: which procedure works best?
NCT ID NCT07445646
Summary
This study compared three common procedures for removing hard kidney stones that aren't in the lower part of the kidney. 300 adult patients with medium-sized stones were randomly assigned to receive either flexible scope laser treatment, external shock wave therapy, or mini-surgery with laser. Researchers measured which method left patients stone-free with the fewest complications and shortest procedure times.
