Kidney stone showdown: surgery vs shock waves
NCT ID NCT07193940
Summary
This study compares two common treatments for small kidney stones located in the lower part of the kidney. Researchers want to see whether minimally invasive laser surgery (fURS) or external shock wave therapy (ESWL) works better to completely remove stones. The study will involve 70 adults with stones smaller than 15mm to determine which treatment provides better results with fewer complications.
