New surgery method could get kids home faster after kidney stone removal
NCT ID NCT07183930
Summary
This study compared two surgical techniques for removing large kidney stones in children aged 6-18. Researchers tested whether leaving out a temporary drainage tube after surgery (tubeless method) is as safe and effective as the traditional tube method. They measured which approach caused less pain, led to shorter hospital stays, and had fewer complications in 640 young patients.
