Study pits two kidney stone removal techniques Head-to-Head
NCT ID NCT03932370
Summary
This study compared two modern, less invasive surgeries for removing kidney stones that are 2 centimeters or smaller. Researchers randomly assigned 118 patients to have either flexible ureteroscopy (f-URS) or mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy (mini-PCNL). The main goal was to see which procedure was better at completely clearing the stones and which led to faster recovery with fewer complications.
