First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at two ways to use a laser during surgery to remove kidney stones. Twenty adults with kidney stones had a procedure called flexible ureteroscopy. They were randomly assigned to have the laser either break the stone into pieces or turn it into dust. The goal was to see which method worked better for clearing the stone and how it affected surgery time and recovery.
