New suction method tested for faster kidney stone removal
NCT ID NCT04519294
Summary
This study compared two ways to remove kidney stone fragments after they've been broken up with a laser. Researchers tested a new suction system against the standard basket method to see which was more effective at completely clearing stones. The study involved 132 people with kidney stones who were candidates for this type of procedure. The main goal was to see if the new suction method left fewer stone fragments behind one month after treatment.
