New suction device aims to vacuum kidney stones clean
NCT ID NCT06667466
Summary
This study is testing whether a new medical device that combines a laser with a suction tube works better than the current standard laser method for removing kidney and ureteral stones. Researchers will compare how completely the stones are removed and how many complications occur with each approach. About 140 adults with medium-sized stones will have surgery where their stones are broken up with a laser, and the fragments are either sucked out with the new device or removed with a standard basket.
