First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study aims to see how well different over-the-counter and prescription alkalinizing agents change urine chemistry to prevent kidney stones. Researchers will compare these agents to a standard slow-release potassium citrate in 15 adults, both with and without a history of stones. Participants will follow a controlled diet to ensure accurate results. The goal is to find effective, affordable options for stone prevention.
