New combo therapy aims to save kidneys while fighting tough cancer

NCT ID NCT05912816

Summary

This study is testing whether giving two drugs before surgery can help control high-risk cancer in the upper urinary tract while preserving kidney function. About 20 patients who have this specific cancer and want to avoid complete kidney removal will receive the drug combination. Researchers will check if the treatment shrinks tumors enough to allow for less invasive, kidney-sparing surgery instead of radical removal.
