Summary

This study looks at easier methods to measure how much extra work the kidneys can do (called renal reserve). About 44 adults with sickle cell kidney disease or who have donated a kidney will take a protein drink and have their kidney function checked. The goal is to find a practical test that could help monitor kidney health over time.
