NCT ID NCT07156786

Summary

This study is testing whether N-Acetylcysteine, a medication also used for acetaminophen overdose, can protect kidney function in cancer patients receiving cisplatin chemotherapy. Researchers will measure kidney injury markers in blood and urine from 72 adult cancer patients who will receive either the drug or a placebo for seven days around their chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this treatment can prevent or reduce chemotherapy-related kidney damage.
