Advanced scans aim to predict kidney risk in diabetes
NCT ID NCT07270198
Summary
This study aims to understand why and how certain diabetes medications (SGLT2 inhibitors) protect the kidneys. Researchers will use detailed MRI scans and blood tests on 100 adults with diabetic kidney disease who are already taking these medications. The goal is to find better ways to predict which patients are most at risk for kidney function decline despite treatment.
