New test aims to spot kidney crisis before it strikes ICU patients

NCT ID NCT06652100

Summary

This study is testing a new blood and urine lab test to see if it can accurately identify which adult patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) are at high risk for developing serious kidney injury within 2-3 days. Researchers will collect samples from 800 critically ill patients to determine the test's warning threshold. The goal is to help doctors spot kidney problems earlier so they can intervene sooner.
