Simple scan could give doctors a head start on preventing kidney failure

NCT ID NCT06386796

Summary

This study is testing if a quick, non-invasive ultrasound scan can detect early signs of kidney injury in high-risk patients in the surgical intensive care unit. Researchers will compare this scan to standard blood and urine tests to see if it provides an earlier warning. The goal is to help doctors identify kidney problems sooner, which could lead to faster treatment and better outcomes.
