New imaging tech aims to forecast kidney health after cancer removal

NCT ID NCT07294859

Summary

This study is testing whether advanced ultrasound imaging can predict how well a patient's kidneys will work after surgery to remove kidney cancer. Researchers will use special contrast-enhanced ultrasound scans before and after surgery on about 285 patients to see if the images can forecast kidney recovery. The goal is to find better ways to monitor kidney health and potentially guide care after these operations.
