Kidney donors: could hidden belly fat raise your blood pressure?

NCT ID NCT06886087

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at 100 living kidney donors to see if the amount of fat around the kidney (called PRAT) is linked to worse blood pressure and kidney function after donation. Researchers will compare donors with high and low PRAT by testing blood, urine, and fat samples. The goal is to better understand risks and improve future care for donors.
