Hidden fat around kidney may predict donor health risks
NCT ID NCT06886087
Summary
This study aims to understand if the thickness of fat surrounding a donated kidney influences the donor's future kidney function and blood pressure. Researchers will follow 100 living kidney donors for about 6 months after their surgery, measuring their fat, blood pressure, and kidney health. The goal is to gather knowledge to better manage the health of people who generously donate a kidney.
