Head-to-Head kidney treatment trial seeks best remedy
NCT ID NCT04745728
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two standard drug combinations works better for treating idiopathic membranous nephropathy, a kidney disease that causes protein loss in urine. Researchers will compare a steroid-cyclophosphamide combination against rituximab treatment in 200 patients over 24 months. The main goal is to see which treatment leads to more patients achieving remission, meaning their urine protein levels return to normal or improve significantly.
