Could two drugs beat one for kidney recovery?
NCT ID NCT04743739
Summary
This study aimed to see if using two drugs together (rituximab and cyclosporine) works better than using just one (rituximab alone) to treat a specific kidney disease called idiopathic membranous nephropathy. The goal was to help patients achieve remission, meaning their urine protein levels drop significantly and kidney function stabilizes. The trial was terminated early after enrolling only 12 participants, so the results are limited.
