New hope to stop muscle wasting in kidney patients

NCT ID NCT07374042

Summary

This study is testing if a nutritional supplement called ketoanalogues can help prevent muscle loss in people with advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD). Participants will follow a moderate protein diet while taking the supplement. The goal is to see if this approach helps maintain muscle mass, which is a common and serious problem in late-stage kidney disease.
