New urine test could help track kidney health

NCT ID NCT07348484

Summary

This study aims to learn more about chronic kidney disease by observing patients in real-world settings. It will follow 300 adults with moderate kidney disease to see if a common class of drugs (SGLT2 inhibitors like empagliflozin) helps slow the decline of kidney function. The study will also test a new panel of urine biomarkers to see if they can help diagnose and monitor the disease earlier.
