New hope for slowing kidney damage in high blood pressure patients

NCT ID NCT07223502

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two different drug combinations works better for people who have both high blood pressure and chronic kidney disease with protein in their urine. Researchers will compare a newer drug called finerenone against a combination pill containing two older medications (torsemide and spironolactone). The goal is to see which treatment better controls blood pressure, reduces kidney stress, and maintains safe potassium levels.
