Blood test breakthrough could predict kidney disease complications

NCT ID NCT07037953

Summary

This study looked at whether certain molecules in the blood could help doctors detect chronic kidney disease earlier and predict which patients might not respond well to common anemia treatments. Researchers compared 180 people—60 healthy individuals, 60 with moderate kidney disease, and 60 on dialysis—measuring specific blood markers. The goal was to find better ways to monitor kidney disease progression and identify patients at risk for treatment resistance.
