Summary

This study tested whether the drug MCI-196 could safely control high phosphorus levels in people with kidney failure on dialysis. Researchers compared the drug against a placebo in 336 patients over 16 weeks. The goal was to see if the drug could effectively manage this common and dangerous complication of kidney disease.
