Summary
This study tested a medical device designed to create a connection between an artery and vein for patients who need regular dialysis treatment. The goal was to see if this minimally invasive procedure could provide reliable access for dialysis over time. The study was terminated early and enrolled 100 adults with chronic kidney disease.
