New device aims to simplify Life-Saving dialysis access

NCT ID NCT03708770

Summary

This study tested a device called the everlinQ System, which is used to create a connection between an artery and a vein for patients who need regular dialysis due to kidney failure. The goal was to see if this less invasive method could successfully create a usable access point and remain safe. Researchers followed 32 patients for up to a year to measure how well the access point matured and to track any serious device-related problems.
