Scientists probe kidney tumor clumps to unlock drug resistance secrets

NCT ID NCT07351266

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at kidney cancer tumors that have multiple small nodules inside them. Researchers want to find out if these nodules are different from each other and how they might be related. They will use advanced lab tests on tissue from 10 patients to map the genes and cells of each nodule, and also grow tiny 3D tumor models to test drug responses. The goal is to understand why some tumors stop responding to treatment and find better ways to diagnose and treat kidney cancer.
