New approach aims to free kidney cancer patients from daily drugs

NCT ID NCT06770855

Summary

This study is testing a new strategy for people with advanced kidney cancer. After initial drug treatment works to shrink or control the cancer, doctors will use targeted procedures like surgery or radiation to remove all visible tumors. The main goal is to see if patients can then safely stop their regular cancer medications for at least a year without the cancer getting worse.
