Could kidney cancer patients stop treatment after tumor removal?

Summary
This study tests whether people with advanced kidney cancer can safely stop their immunotherapy drugs after doctors use targeted treatments to remove or destroy all visible tumors. Researchers want to see if patients can stay off cancer medications for at least 12 months without their cancer worsening. The study includes 23 people whose cancer has responded well to at least 6 months of immunotherapy and who have 5 or fewer remaining tumors that can be treated with surgery, radiation, or freezing techniques.
