Surgery without stitches? new kidney cancer trial tests faster, cheaper method

NCT ID NCT06846112

Summary

This study is testing if a robotic surgery for kidney cancer can be done without using stitches to close the wound. Instead, surgeons use controlled heat (cautery) to seal the area. Researchers want to see if this 'sutureless' method is just as safe and effective as the standard stitched method, while potentially making the surgery faster and less costly.
