Stitchless kidney surgery: a game changer for cancer patients?
NCT ID NCT06846112
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to perform robotic partial nephrectomy (removing part of the kidney) for kidney cancer. One method uses stitches to close the wound, while the other does not. The goal is to see if the stitch-free method is just as safe and effective, with fewer complications and better kidney function. About 248 adults with early-stage kidney cancer will take part.
