Scientists probe Bone's hidden role in fighting cancer spread
NCT ID NCT07187869
Summary
This early-stage study aims to understand how a standard cancer drug (cabozantinib) changes the immune environment inside bones where kidney cancer has spread. Researchers will take small tissue samples (biopsies) from 16 patients' bone tumors before and after treatment to see how the drug affects specific immune cells. The main goal is to learn if this research method is safe and feasible, which could guide future treatment strategies to prevent bone complications.
