New cancer drug targets HER3 in advanced tumors

NCT ID NCT07514975

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new drug called KHN922 in people with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to standard treatments. KHN922 is an antibody-drug conjugate designed to target HER3 proteins on cancer cells and deliver two anti-cancer drugs directly to them. The trial will first find the safest dose (Phase 1) and then measure how well it shrinks tumors (Phase 2) in about 276 participants.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ€” not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
KHN922 (an antibody-drug conjugate that targets HER3 proteins on cancer cells and delivers two anti-cancer drugs)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option for people with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to standard therapies.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial (Phase 1/2) with a small number of participants, so the drug may not prove effective or safe enough for wider use. Side effects from the antibody-drug conjugate are possible and will be closely monitored.
