New spinal fluid test could simplify MS diagnosis

NCT ID NCT07183020

Summary

This study aims to determine if a new test measuring kappa free light chains (KFLC) in spinal fluid works as well as the current standard test for diagnosing multiple sclerosis (MS) and early MS symptoms. Researchers will compare both tests in 1,142 adults already diagnosed with MS or showing early signs. The goal is to see if the new test could provide a simpler, more standardized way to help doctors confirm MS diagnoses.
