New hope for kids with unexplained stomach pain

NCT ID NCT02484248

Summary

This study is testing if a medication called ketotifen can help children and teenagers who have ongoing stomach pain (functional dyspepsia) linked to high levels of certain immune cells in their gut. Participants will try both ketotifen and a placebo pill in a random order to see which one better controls their pain and improves their quality of life. The goal is to see if this drug can be a simpler, more affordable option for kids who haven't gotten enough relief from standard treatments.
