First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether ketotifen, a drug that stabilizes certain immune cells, can reduce stomach pain in children aged 8 to 17 with functional dyspepsia and high levels of eosinophils in the gut. Participants will receive either ketotifen or a placebo, then switch after a period. The goal is to see if ketotifen can improve symptoms and quality of life, potentially replacing more expensive treatments.
