Ketosis and treadmill test: could a supplement boost your brainpower?

NCT ID NCT07218497

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This early-stage study looks at whether taking a ketosis supplement before a 30-minute treadmill test can increase a brain protein called BDNF and improve thinking skills. Researchers will compare the supplement to a placebo in 50 healthy adults aged 18-35, focusing on those with a specific gene variation (Met allele). The goal is to understand how metabolism and exercise interact to affect brain function.
