First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving the anti-inflammatory drug ketorolac for the first two days after lumbar spinal fusion surgery can lower the amount of opioids patients need for pain. About 140 adults having one- or two-level fusions will be randomly assigned to receive either ketorolac or a placebo. Researchers will also check if ketorolac affects how well the bones fuse together.
