Scientists hunt for the 'Keto Cholesterol' gene

NCT ID NCT07137286

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people experience a large spike in 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) when they start a ketogenic diet. Researchers at Mayo Clinic are recruiting 100 adults who have had this reaction to see if specific genetic differences are the cause. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to provide a treatment.
