Summary
This study is testing whether following a strict high-fat, low-carb ketogenic diet for one year can slow the progression of polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in patients at high risk for rapid decline. It involves 20 patients from Ohio State University who will have their kidney size and function measured before, during, and after the diet. The goal is to see if this dietary approach is feasible and effective at controlling the disease.
