Can a High-Fat diet help control anorexia?
NCT ID NCT06605027
Summary
This study is testing if a special high-fat, low-carb diet (called a ketogenic diet) can help people with anorexia nervosa manage the difficult thoughts and behaviors linked to their eating disorder. It will compare 40 people on the special diet to 20 people receiving standard treatment over 14 weeks. Researchers will check if the diet is safe and if it helps reduce symptoms, with follow-ups for a year to see if any benefits last.
