Could a High-Fat diet heal the brain after anorexia?
NCT ID NCT06540703
First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a 14-week ketogenic (high-fat, low-carb) diet can help normalize brain activity and reduce lingering eating disorder thoughts in people who have already regained weight from anorexia. About 90 participants (including healthy controls) will have brain scans and assessments before and after the diet, with a 6-month follow-up. The goal is to see if changing what you eat can improve long-term mental health after recovery.
