First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving a low, steady dose of ketamine after surgery could prevent depressive symptoms in patients who have had depression before. Researchers enrolled 32 adults having long surgeries at a single hospital. The goal was to see if a larger trial is possible, not to prove the treatment works yet.
