New nasal spray aims to quickly ease depression and suicidal urges

Summary
This study tests a new nasal spray called PRT-042 (a form of ketamine) to see if it can quickly reduce depression and suicidal thoughts in adults with major depressive disorder. About 98 participants will receive either the spray or a placebo. The main goal is to measure changes in depression symptoms 24 hours after the first dose. The study is currently recruiting.
