First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving a low, continuous dose of ketamine to people with severe injuries could reduce their need for strong painkillers like morphine. 140 adults with at least two serious injuries took part. The goal was to see if ketamine could cut opioid use by at least 25% while still providing good pain relief.
