Ketamine infusions aim to ease severe BPD symptoms in new pilot study
NCT ID NCT07099534
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026
Summary
This pilot study tests whether two low-dose ketamine infusions, given 24 hours apart, can quickly reduce symptoms in people with severe borderline personality disorder (BPD). About 38 adults will receive the infusions along with standard psychiatric care and be followed for up to 3 months. The main goal is to see if symptoms improve by day 9, with checks on suicidal thoughts, depression, and side effects.
