First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested whether repeated doses of ketamine, compared to a placebo, could help veterans with PTSD feel better faster when combined with a standard talk therapy called Prolonged Exposure. The trial included 75 veterans aged 18 to 75. Researchers measured PTSD symptoms using a detailed interview to see if ketamine made the therapy work more quickly.
